Stitched Summer

This week the team at Just Add Ink have a challenge to Just Add Stitching (you can join in here at JAI20).

The team at Michelle Perkett Studio have a challenge for a Summer themed project (you can join in here at Challenge #32).

I have combined the elements of both challenges & come up with this:-

I have made a "shadow box" style card.  The front panel is acetate & the background panel is a photograph of a field of daisies & dandelions that I found at www.imageafter.com.

I have used my sewing machine to stitch the two panels together & also to attach the ribbon to the acetate panel.  All the edges of the acetate panel have been "swiped" with white Staz On ink.

I have used Michelle's beautiful "Three Graces" image which has been printed by laser on watercolour paper & coloured with both watercolour & standard pencils.  The ballerinas have been fussy cut & then "blinged" up with glitter & glaze pens, making them sparkly & shiny!  Here is a (night-time!) shot of the ballerinas before they were added to their field of flowers:-

The image is adhered to the background photo with dimensional adhesives.  This is the view from the top of the card:-

The sentiment has been stamped, popped up & layered onto a scalloped oval.
