CASE-ing the Catty #59 - Cutie Pie Christmas Trees

Welcome to the CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop!  Thanks for joining us.  :)

This week we are using the theme of "Christmas Trees" from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue to inspire our projects.  There are lots of tree images scattered throughout the catty in stamps, dies & DSP.  I was inspired by the picture at the top of page 42 to create my own simple, little trees.

I have made a couple of gift cards with different trims, as well as a place marker for the table:-

Here are the trees that I was inspired by:-

& here is how I made mine, using the Cutie Pie Thinlits Dies:-

You will need a piece of cardstock approx. 6" wide x 5" high.  On the 6" edge, mark at the centre point (3"), score & fold.  Place your cardstock with the folded edge aligned with the score line of the die (as shown above in top right image) & roll through your Big Shot.

You need to trim away the excess cardstock at the base of the tree, but you have a beautifully scored guide line to assist you.  Then add some cute decorations to suit.  Easy peasy!  :)

The rest of the Crew have some amazing designs to share & you can work your way around the entire Hop by following the links in each post.  Simply click on the "Next" button below to go to Alison's fabulous project.  (If you want to skip backwards, you will find Rachel's beautiful project here.)
